Mike Guerrero, our Founder and Chairman, is more compassionate about people and their lifestyles than he is about profitability. His desire is for his employees to live with purpose. He has invested in life coaching workshops and seminars for his employees, and actively encourages them to be involved with serving others who are less fortunate. Mike has offered the opportunity for his employees to serve impoverished communities around the world. The company is actively involved with Children of the Nations, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating children of destitute communities to create a better future and transform nations. Mike arranged for each of his employees to have personal coaching and life support resources. He was often accused of “giving away the store” and charged by peer leaders as being “too generous”. That is where the Designed Living story begins. A story of giving. Generosity is our Founder’s DNA and that spirit has happily bled into and has become the motivational tenet of the Designed Living culture.

We want to do more than simply providing supplies for a living. We strive to make a difference. Mike understood that profit is necessary for survival, but he wanted to focus more on people than profit. His vision was to leverage his experience in healthcare management services and workers compensation cost containment to make a more direct difference in the lives of the medically less fortunate. Designed Living was birthed with this in mind. “We can enhance the lifestyles of critically injured patients”.

Several years ago, Mike attended a management development conference and met another business leader who happened to be involved in serving people in need. This business leader fed the homeless on skid row and distributed wheelchairs in India and Peru to those with mobility challenges. This leader, Fred Gladney, is now Designed Living’s President & CEO! He felt led to join the team at Designed Living to build a second-to-none service company. “We’re neither profiteers nor preachers, but we believe our purpose is to be servant-leaders, making a difference to our employees, clients, and most of all, to our patients.”

Our expertise with Workers Comp Catastrophic Care & familiarity with fee schedule allows us to make sure that your client is getting exactly what they need for the right price. We coordinate all services the patient they need, from pre-op to long after post-op.

A Care Specialist will coordinate every facet of your claims. DME, prosthetics, lift systems  … every need. Our team expertly navigates the intricacies of the often complicated Workers Comp fee schedule to guarantee low and fair prices on equipment. Our construction management team will also coordinate home modifications if needed.

Call us once and we will make sure to provide your patient with exactly what they need. We offer next day delivery for most orders placed before 3:00 PM PST.
